Freelance Visa Key Points

01. Restrictions on occupations

Not all jobs are available. It is issued to experts working in specific professional fields (different depending on Freezone), such as media, education, technology, and design.

02. Regional restrictions

Each Freezone has different areas that can be approved. You must register in a free zone that matches your occupation, and in principle, activities are conducted within that zone.

03. Substance requirements

Working remotely with overseas clients is simple, but long-term contracts with companies in Dubai may require additional office space.

04. Period of residence

The visa validity period is usually 2 years and can be renewed upon expiration. If you leave the UAE for more than 6 months while your visa is valid, your visa may become invalid.
