The newly released figures provide updated information on EB-2 National Interest Waiver petitions through June 30, 2026, including the number of petitions received, approved, denied, and remaining pending at the end of each quarter.

■ NIW Approval Rate by Quarter

The NIW approval rate increased in each of the first three quarters of FY2026.

​

During Q1, USCIS approved 2,365 NIW petitions and denied 3,200, resulting in an approval rate of approximately 42.5%.

In Q2, 3,038 petitions were approved and 3,282 were denied, bringing the approval rate to approximately 48.1%.
